A Sauvignon Blanc Tour Around the World
Some girls crave rosé. I, instead, want Sauvignon Blanc. It’s one of my favorite grapes in the world. It’s grown almost everywhere, from France to California and New Zealand, and each location offers unique terror that gives Sauvignon Blanc a variety of characteristics, including such disparate tasting notes as tropical fruit, smoke, and gunflint.
I wrote an ode to Sauvignon Blanc for 90+ Cellars, an online wine shop that serves as a modern-day négociant. They label their own bottles after sourcing the grapes and wines from small producers around the globe. I was super impressed with a group of their Sauvignon Blanc wines, including Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, California, and Malborough, New Zealand wines. Check out the full piece, up now on their blog!
In case you’re wondering, I did have a standout favorite: 90+ Cellars Reserve Pouilly-Fume. Add to cart! I know I’ll be getting a case.
